trendy & classic

It's been the ongoing challenge for me as a designer to really design for myself as I pick and choose items for our home.  If money were no object then I would be speaking otherwise but in the mind of a women with a budget in mind..being selective is a challenge.  I want to do the fun trendy choices but then when it comes down to this home in particular (for we plan to stay while..).  So selecting a more timeless option feels invaluable.  I think I've mastered it on my budget (maybe a little over) but I feel confident in my choices so far. There will always be something to change down the road, knowing me that's half the fun of why I love design.. change is good but where it counts for the core pieces I think I'll love this home to pieces.

Only the last 5 windows/ doors left to install..finish roof, and exterior finishes this next week.. then we can move inside and get oober excited!

CRAFTY

I really love to make things.. I don't always love it hanging around.  When I do find a craft I would love to make and see that it may have a lasting mark in our home I am happy to do it!  Such buzz kill for all the possible crafty things out there but really it can be so expensive and my dreams of having some beautiful chairs (see previous post) are much more a priority..I mean really let's be honest, even the little things add up.

Ever since college I have had a growing love affair with chairs.  The classic, the strange, the mod, the angular.  They can easily be every individuals dream.  & it's only a matter of time until we each find our one and only.."onlys" in my case.
