Be kitchen Inspired

The kitchen, also known as the heart of the home has always seemed to be a puzzle for me to finalize on a singular design.  There are so many useful and functioning components let alone the aesthetic and mood I want to instill upon the occupants (the family).  Creating comfort and that special place for lingering.  Oh my.  Each of these kitchen provides a certain mood that inspires me.  Little by little I see my version of a homes kitchen melding together.

The key elements.  Warmth.  Clean lines. Function with invitation to stay.  Modern, shiny & yet traditional pieces.  These few gathered thoughts will make the future home's kitchen all worth while.  Can you start smell the goodness?

Feels so good to share.

Happy Monday!

Architect Peter Block

It is comforting when you can still find good craftsmanship today.  In the era of fast and now there are rare gems of artisan's, makers and companies that keep the days of "forever loved" alive.  Here is one I just recently discovered and I admire all the faucets of his design.  Peter Block Architects, designs based on European and American influences, creating "time-proven sensibilities with a clear, self-assured client-driven hand to meet 21st Century needs." From simply decorative to the organically ornate he peeks my interests very much.

My husabnd and I have always talked "when we build our home" we will be selective and use things that truly inspire and are "smart".  Inspiring in that when I come home I realish in the fact I live here.  Who me?  Yes, I would like to feel constantly inspired by the space I live in.  Smart, in that we can be more self reliant; retain our own water source, storing rain water, solar panels & geothermal heating and cooling system.  We have talked about best insulation.  There are endless options today, so we are concious of being smart in how we live. Plus who wouldn't be happy in being taken care of if disaster struck in your own beautifully crafted home?  Sounds to good to be true.. but I say it's possible.

All in all, I have dreams and aspirations that reach the clouds.  I am in hopes to one day make these all reality. Until that day arrives I sit at my desk inspired once again at the good things in life.  Home.
