homestead progress

It is exciting, pure joy! for me to see our home be framed!  You can really visualize the dream that has been stewing for so long.. It is facinating as well to learn the process.  I guess for the neighborhood standard is over engineered foundations.. which is great!  I am all about a firm foundation.  They place these huge oiled gazillion gauged wires through the foundation, later to come and pull them against each other at 30,000 pounds of strength for a more secure base (fine by me!).  Its alot to take in but its is truly an art for these contractors to pull off.  If you doodle it, they will build it.
