Windsor Smith

I have blue taffeta drapes.  I love them.  But not until I saw this photo did I really realize how I adored them.  It really comes down to what you love in your home.  What really floats your boat.  I am a neutral goddess and yet I am fascinated with color and not your average accents.  And these luxurious drapes  float my boat.  They create an anchor for the rest of the room, nearly white walls with graded tones that create interest and much needed peace.  Plus consider each level of texture this room has, textures like these give a room depth which is a key for inviting you in, especially when done well.
Does this room invite you in?

Some more inspirations from Veranda in which Windsor is working with a multitude of designers to create a beautiful home in L.A.  Here are the rough and beautiful beginnings.

An inspiring finished look where wood and marble meet.
Designer Michelle Nussbaumer from Dallas' front entry.  Simply lovely.

I am just waiting for the day you announce the Kristine Hammons Design Firm (but maybe with a more original name). I know it's going to happen! Maybe once the kiddos are bigger. So excited to have another blog of yours to follow!
